RESTORING BELMEAD ON THE JAMES a Benefit Concert, Feb 11, 2012, 3PM BACKYARD BIRD COUNT, Feb 17, 18, 19 or 20Belmead is situated on the James River in Powhatan, Virginia with over 2,600 acres of land. A great place to look for birds and take photos. The St Francis/St. Emma site, built in the 1890's, had two high schools, one for girls and one for boys. These two educational institutions influenced the lives of many African American woman and men.
