The black bellied whistling duck is still around and somewhat aloof, although he/she has figured out the free meal angle when people come by to feed the ducks and geese. This was useful for determining that both claws are present when I went by yesterday since it got the duck out of the water and grass onto bare dirt. When it first arrived it did not seem to participate in any of the feeding that routinely occurs there. Saw it with a couple of other women about 20 minutes ago. It has its limit when you get too close, although sitting in the car under the weeping willow will get you a closer look sometimes. Map link courtesy of Arun Bose: http://tinyurl.com/qjenrb
