Saturday's RAS annual picnic was a delightful group of friends and new
members. Except for the hot weather, everything was great! A couple
walks on the high ground along the river and an excursion to check out
the reported eagle's nest were as much activity as the weather
permitted, but we did hear a number of birds and were considerate of
the prothonotary pair anxious to get in and out of their nest on the
dock. The eagle's nest was a rumor but three osprey nests were found
on metal transmission poles in the wetlands and river. The heat
didn't keep us from grilling and enjoying a nice lunch! Or from lots
