A very chilly but clear morning of birding along the James River this morning provided lots of spring birds for our Audubon field trip, but fewer than yesterday by all reports! Chimney Swift Ruby-throated Hummingbird Belted Kingfisher Red-bellied Woodpecker Downy Woodpecker Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Pileated Woodpecker Great Crested Flycatcher Eastern Kingbird White-eyed Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Blue Jay American Crow Carolina Chickadee Tufted Titmouse Carolina Wren Ruby-crowned Kinglet Blue-gray Gnatcatcher American Robin Blue-winged Warbler N.
