Sunday in the wake of the snow with the gale howling outside, I was treated to
some "eye-candy" in the form of an adult male goldfinch in full breeding
plummage. He was a pleasant addition to my usual 60+ winter plummage flock
that eats about two inches/hour from my two thistle feeders during and after
snow storms.
