Good morning, VA birders:
I have been reading with interest, the logging of this year's migration. It
seems that most people reporting, even here in Northern VA, have said that
migration is winding down or "over." I still have a t least one Blackpoll
sqeaking in the woods, and there has been what sounds like a Yellow Warbler
calling for the past week. Is it unusual for warblers to linger this long?
Also of note, I have seen the first fledges of Nuthatches, Cardinals, C.
Chicadees, Song sparrows, along with too many House Sparrows. The House Wren
has not found a "girl" yet since his voice has not changed...
