Deniz Aygen reports a mostly slow day in the trapping blind, but there was some
excitement. The first Redtail of the season was captured around noon and
several Merlin payed extended visits to the blind. A probable Peregrine came
charging into the station and gots hearts racing, but no capture resulted.
Total: 7 Juvenile Merlin (4 males, 3 females)
1 Juvenile Red-tailed hawk
I hope the approaching cold front sets up some good conditions for us. It's
looking good at the moment.
