VA-Birders,
Sorry, a bit more admin. If this computer stuff was easy thousands of
off-shore helplines would close down.
A popular option of VA-Bird (especially in the spring heavy traffic season)
is Digest. Digest delivers one email per day that contains the posts to
VA-Bird for that day, and you can pick which subjects to double-click to
read, or not to read. To change to Digest, email to
va-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
with Digest in the Subject field.
Another reason for VA-Bird unsubscribe problems is that the confirmation
email is considered spam and put into a junk folder by YOUR email service.
Unsubscribing is first an email to
va-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
with Unsubscribe in the Subject field, and second a response from you
confirming that you want to unsubscribe.
I would mention my life Golden-crowned Sparrow I saw Saturday, but it was in
Palo Alto, CA and not appropriate for a VA-Bird post.

Hi. I've had the same problem...did the "unsubscribe" thing
but they just keep coming! ...by the DOZens!!! A couple
or a few a day would be nice; but there is that danger of
leaving town for a day or two and filling up the inbox. My
ISP and email address have nothing to do with Yahoo...
what to do?
Thanks,
Elisabeth Hauser

Hi VA-Birders,probably
Freelists is having a problem unsubscribing Yahoo accounts. It is
the blue line Yahoo inserts before each line of a reply. You have tocopy
the text required for validating unsubcribe to a new email with thereply
address.can
If you have a problem like Scott's, email me directly. Remember, you
use "Vacation" to temporarily suspend email from VA-Bird.so
OK, back to birding. I think it is GREAT that the list traffic has been
genteel lately that a subscriber does not know my email address foremail to va-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxx. To unsubscribe, send email to
administrative matters. Good job, posters.
