A follow-up: Tom crossed the CBBT around 1400, and I crossed it again around
1540, and neither of us saw the frigatebird while crossing. There have been
many frigatebirds in the past 2 weeks between the Carolinas and Cape May and
Cape Cod; birding with a group in Carolina, I found a Basic-III female and a
Basic-I bird in Buxton and Frisco, respectively. The Fisherman Island bird
was
an adult male frigatebird, but I was not able to see it well enough to rule
out Great Frigatebird, so it is not identified to species.
