As reported by others, our feeders got a real workout from our foul-weather
friends. Highlights were a female purple finch and a common grackle. Other
visitors included a flock of cedar waxwings (about 25), a pair of towhees,
field sparrow, and the usual chickadees, titmice, goldfinch, song sparrow,
whitethroats, cardinal, mourning dove, carolina wren, red-bellied woodpecker,
mockingbird, and blue jay.
