Today's edition of The Morning Call (Allentown, PA) includes an op-ed piece
concerning birds and industrial-size wind energy facilities on the forested
Appalachian ridges of MD, PA, VA, and WV. The author is Donald Heinztelman, a
well-known conservationist and author of numerous books on raptors.
The op-ed piece refers to "substantial numbers of bald eagles and golden eagles
wintering in the remote mountains of Highland County, Va.," the locale of a
proposed wind project.
