We live on Lake Smith in VA Beach and were very surprised to see a male
Yellow-throated Warbler at our bird feeders this morning (eating suet and
safflower seed). Both my husband and I had a clear view of the bird (5 feet
away from our window). Is this an unusual bird for southeast VA in late Dec?
Ther has been quite a bit of water fowl on Lake Smith the past few days:
Hooded Mergansers - a large flock of ~ 100 birds
Common Mergansers
American Wigeon
Pied-billed Grebe
Gadwall
Common Loon
Red-throated Loon
