This afternoon a YELLOW WARBLER gave me great looks. It had a reddish =
tint in the crown visible with the naked eye, and sang frequently. It =
was in the trees on the left at the corner past the marsh on the auto =
trail. Two VESPER SPARROWS were in the bushes on the right in the last =
100 feet before the first gate on the auto trail. One then fed on the =
ground near the gate for 20 minutes allowing an extended scope study. =
Also present were a HORNED LARK, singing FIELD SPARROWS, and some of =
the usuals.
Good birding,
John Fox
