Today, on a long tour of a whole lot of VA, I stopped at the Dulles Wetlands
and
found 6-8 Wood Ducks in the water. There may have been more hiding in the
reeds. Also one male Canvasback, plus a couple of Green-winged Teal, Mallards
& Blacks, Ring-necked.
Also, one GWF Goose at the pond off Rte 17 near The Plains. There were only
about 40 Canadas there, so it wasn't hard to pick out, but either the geese
are
on the move or they've found someplace unbeknowns to me to feed.
