The cooler weather has brought three of our favorite winter birds. Yesterday
we saw the first WINTER WREN of the season. Today we saw the wren again and
also a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW and a HERMIT THRUSH. We also had a female JUNCO
today. I know they nest near us but we only have them in cold weather. A
young one showed up about a month ago and we watched it slowly change to male
plumage.
Every season is interesting.
