Hi everyone -
Two White-winged Scoters showed up above the dam at Sandy River Reservoir
in the rain this afternoon (10 Jan). They represent the first county record
for the species as far as I know. All three scoter species have now been
seen at Sandy River Reservoir.
Aside from the scoters, a single Herring Gull (1st-winter *smithsonianus*)
mixed in with the Ring-billed Gulls was about the only other noteworthy
sighting.
