Late yesterday afternoon when Karen & I got back from a trip to Cape May we
found a bright and beautifully- feathered White-crowned Sparrow feeding under
our thistle feeders. It was in among several White-throated Sparrows. While
the White-crowned is not the latest I have have ever had in my neighborhood, it
is prob. the latest in my yard.
Today, May 2, in a neighbor's field there were three male Bobolinks sitting in
a bramble of multiflora rose.
