Hello all
Today I checked out a few area ponds to see what the last storm put down .
All of the other birds that I found today are still hanging around but the
catch of the day is a Female White - winged Scoter at the Quarry Pond in
Fishersville . Yes this is the pond where we could not go but a couple of
our club members knew the owner & we as a club have permission to go & check
it out . If anyone goes go into the subdivision & park your car along the
road where the gravel road goes up to the Quarry . It has been fenced off &
there is a gravel trail around it . DO NOT GET OFF OF THE GRAVEL TRAIL . The
Quarry is half frozen so this bird may stay there for a few days . Birds
seen today are
