It seems that in the last few months birders in Maryland, DC, Virginia and
some other areas have switched to ebird alerts to find out about rarities. I
love ebird but it's too bad that the reporting landscape is so fragmented now
- facebook groups, listservs, etc. It was so much easier when you didn't have
to keep track of 3 or 4 different services for each area.
