[va-bird] Whip-poor-will in Buckingham Co. and brief note about the Gold Book

I finally heard my first Whip-poor-will of the season this morning at 6:00 a.m.
in Buckingham County (which happens to contain the geographic center of
Virginia).  I've been waiting since 4/1, the average arrival date here.

Thanks, Wallace, for your thorough explanation of non-serial publications about
Virginia birds.  As a member of the VSO committee charged with printing the
"Gold Book", I can report that it is indeed in its near-final draft stage.  It
will not, however, be published in May.  Final edits are being made; the text
will be finalized this spring, but with the layout and printing process, the
Gold Book will probably not be available for sale until midsummer at the
earliest.  Watch the VSO website for more information...
