Just swung back by the same location and the flock was back in the field, and I
saw the Yellow-headed again briefly before the flock moved again, so looks like
they may be hanging in that area. Also picked out 1 Rusty Blackbird mixed in
this time.

Subject: [Va-bird] Yellow-headed Blackbird, Southampton Co. VA, 12/16/13
Hey all, traveling back to NC this morning after a weekend of CBC'ing in VA I
stumbled upon a large blackbird flock (approx. 2000 common grackles, 200
red-winged blackbirds, 50 starlings, 10 Brown-headed cowbirds) feeding on the
east side of SR 616/Ivor Rd. just south of Berlin and just north of the
crossing with Round Hill Swamp. Scoped the flock briefly and a bright ad.
male Yellow-headed Blackbird jumped out at me among the others. Soon after
the flock flushed from the roadside and headed west but I could still hear
them in the distance so not too far. The coordinates of where I pulled off:
36.8538 N 76.9808 W. Best,
