Thanks for creating the hot spot! Today was first day in months when I hadn't
checked my email from work--I could have checked the spot out in the afternoon.
Tomorrow I'm there!

All,
Today I had the good fortune to re-locate the Snowy Owl first reported to the
American Bird Conservancy (ABC) on Saturday. It was easily seen from the
southwest corner of parking garage 2, as suggested by Todd Day when he
reported the ABC sighting earlier today. Also present were three Northern
Harriers, a Red-tailed Hawk, and one dark morph Rough-legged Hawk hunting the
grassy areas between runways. The Rough-legged Hawk was distant, but it
perched and flew several times giving okay looks at its gorgeous dark head,
throat, chest and under-wing.
I created a new eBird Hotspot for the observation point in the parking
garage. If you like, please use this hotspot for submitting eBird checklists
from Dulles Airport. Please feel free to edit old checklists (like from the
Snowy Owl that was present in 2006) and use this new hotspot.
