The Snowy Owl is being seen on Cecil Wampler road in Rockingham county. Take
exit 240 off of I 81 towards Mount Crawford. You will come to a stop light at
the intersection of Friedens Church Road and route 11. Go right or North on
route 11 towards Harrisonburg. The next right is Cecil Wampler road. Go about 3
blocks on Cecil Wampler and park well off the road before the bridge over I 81.
Check the signs on both sides of the interstate and the fence posts along the
interstate. Also check the corn field on the SE side of Cecil Wampler. Check
the roofs of nearby buildings. The bird is frequently more active at dusk and
if you arrive before dark your chances are reasonably good for seeing the bird.
