The Virginia Society of Ornithology's annual filed trip to the Outer =
Banks
was very productive. With 120 species recorded, there were numerous
highlights. 2200 redheads in a giant raft is an amazing sight. Sora,
Virginia, clapper and king rails plus American bittern was also =
noteworthy.
Several uncommon species included orange-crowned warbler at Bodie Island =
and
razorbill at the Oregon Inlet. Follows the complete list.
