VA-Birders,
I followed Todd's excellent directions in search of Dickcissles this morning
and birded Remington from 6:00am to 6:45am (when the skies opened up), and
did not find any Dickcissles. However, I did find my lifer UPLAND
SANDPIPER!!!! It was south of route 654, off of Sumerduck Road, just past
the first drive way, fairly close to the road near a small puddle (that
quickly became a large puddle). The only other species to add to Todd's list
is Killdeer. I will have to go back next weekend to look for the
Dickcissles.
Cheers,
Phil
