All,
I just stepped outside to put out the trash and heard the distinctive
calls of swans migrating overhead. I waited as the calls got closer and
closer and then finally I saw them. A HUGE v of swans, at least 1000,
flying overhead in the darkness lit by the light of the city I suppose.
I have never seen that many swans flying together. It was incredible
and the calls were, as always, haunting and beautiful. Good luck on the
breeding grounds guys!
I think that might be a new yard bird.
