Hello all
First of all Congrats to all who found Black Skimmer & Laughing Gull's this
morning . For the Black Skimmer's our BLUE BOOK shows NO records for the
Mountain & Valley's for this Species !!!! ( Some of us has to WORK for a living
) I was chomping at the bit this morning at work & as I was going for some of
the people we transport for the Hospital , I was looking around to see if any
Gulls were knocked down by Isabel . Finally I was free from work at 1pm & I
started to go around to check out some of the ponds to find nothing in the way
of birds . As I was leaving the Swoope area I ran upon a field that had some
water still standing in a low spot . This field is on Rt. 703 on the left as
soon as you cross the small bridge that is raised up in the road . Below is
what I found .
Green -- winged Teal -- 4
American Golden Plover -- 4
Killdeer -- 15
Solitary Sandpiper -- 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper -- 1
Saturday is another day & happy Isabel birding to all
