While driving through Lucketts yesterday I came
across the first Tree Swallows I've seen this year (in
this area). Several were coursing the fields and
perching on the wires along Limestone School Rd (661)
just past Buna Mae lane.
Also, today our first Martin scout arrived. A single
adult male showed up this afternoon to inspect the
houses/gourds and halfheartedly began the exhausting
battle with the House Sparrows. Spring may not
officially start for another week but winter is a
thing of the past...
