SNOWY OWL: was rooftop-perched at the White Wave plant, northern end of the
building, which is at the NW corner of Rts. 11 and 257, just north of Mt.
Crawford (this is west of the I-81 Mt Crawford/Bridgewater exit, which puts you
directly on Rt. 257.) For those familiar with the area, White Wave was formerly
Shenandoah's Pride Dairy. Observed today with Dave Wendelken and Greg Moyers
from around 14:05 - 14:40 hrs. There have been other local reports of
sightings here. And unfortunately increasing local reports of people chasing
the bird around in the Cecil Wampler Rd corn field (assuming this is the same
individual.) Publicity of course has its pros, and cons.

White-fronted Geese (2), RB Gulls (2) & at least two Cackling Geese.
Fisherville, quarry behind Sheetz (Augusta): Horned Grebe, A. Wigeon,
Canvasback, Redhead, A. Coot, Ruddy Duck, Greater Scaup.
Lipscomb Rd Pond (Augusta): Redhead (2) and a Canvasback.
