Lori, and others who might be interested,
"Bob Ryan's ALMANAC and Guide for the Weatherwise" is published annually
and is sold by Giant Food Stores. This guide usually comes out in November
or December, and it has tides, sunrise and sunset times, and other weather
and related information for the whole year. While it focuses on the tidal
Potomac, it has a chart for figuring out tides on the coast and elsewhere in
the area. The price of this year's almanac was $1.98 (up from 50 cents, I
think, for early editions), and the proceeds are donated to locl children's
charities. I doubt if the 2002 edition would still be available in August,
but you can check at a Giant near you.
