Hola Birders,
This morning at 9:19am a Swainson's Hawk passed the Kiptopeke Hawk Watch.
Yesterday there was mild west winds throughout the day and evening. This
likely brought this irregular visitor to the Eastern Shore. This bird seemed
to be a juvenile as no apparent wing molt was seen on this otherwise
back-lit bird.
Excellent numbers of Kestrels, Osprey and Merlin today as well!
Have a good day,
-Sam Stuart
