I was going to the grocery store for milk and bread (got to get ready
for that snow tomorrow) about an hour ago.
As I turned from Hiddenbrook Drive onto Dranesville Road I was very
surprised by what I saw about 30 feet above me.
An adult Bald Eagle!
When I came back from the store about 20 minutes later, I looked around
in the sky near that intersection, and the bird was soaring just a
little bit east of the same intersection.
It made my day. I've seen eagles quite a few times before, but this is
definitely a first for me for the Herndon area.
