We have again talked to the sponsor's office.  We have been assured that
the bill will be withdrawn, but that it must first be assigned to
committee in order for that to occur. 

Nevertheless, there is no reason to stop communicating about this bill
to your elected officials.  It may help prevent it from coming back next
year.  Also, this is an election year in Virginia.

My sources tell me that the bill..HB 1639 has now been assigned to a
House Ag subcommittee. I guess that means we have to keep up the
pressure.
Thanks for your help in the past on this. I should have more info this
weekend, and will pass it on.
