Hi Va Birders
Dave Worley and myself birded the Elk Garden area this morning and the birds
were busy. The highlights of the day were the following:
Yellow Warblers were abundant.
Black-throated Blue warbler
Warbling Vireos
Green Heron and Great Blue Herons flying and landing in the trees.
Eastern Kingbirds we saw one chase a Tree Swallow, Blue Jay, and believe it or
not a Raven from its territory it was the king this day.
Ravens were everywhere I wonder what brought them down into the valley.
Large flocks of Blue Jays flying north.
The Screaming Eagle strip was full of Prairie warblers in Buchanan county
today. Scarlet Tanagers were also seen.
