I was at Mason Neck SP the past two days. Yesterday I had the place to
myself, but today it was rather busy and a little uncomfortable on the
trails. Between yesterday and today, they closed off the playground and
brought in a bunch of port-a-johns. Which made no sense to me.
Yesterday at Occoquan NWR I saw several bikers, joggers, and people with
dogs on the trails. A guy also set up his gym in the parking lot and had
the music blaring from his truck while he worked out.
Crazy times. I suspect theyâll all get shut down soon.

The parking lot at Belle Haven will probably be open this weekend, but
closure afterwards is quite possible; this was from a note from the
Superintendent.
The parking lots at Huntley Meadows are closed and illegal parking at the
VC (East side) entrance are being ticketed; I donât know about the west
side. The trails are open.
Pohick Regional Park is closed.
Mason Neck SP, Mason Neck NWR and Occ. Bay NWR are still open. The
toilets at Occ. Bay are closed due to vandalism. Park police may close all
three parks if they get too crowded and/or illegal parking occurs (I was
informed of this by a park police representative).
Veterans Park is gated closed but walk ins may be possible (for now).
Aquia Landing is open but the toilets are closed; Stafford County policy
at this time is to close amenities but keep trails open.
