This morning (Saturday, January 04) around 10:00 we saw a Snowy Owl from the
Chincoteague Causeway.
The owl was quite a ways out on the north side of the causeway just after
the first bridge from the mainland
side. This evening aournd 4:30 on our way home to Fairfax we stopped at
Hemmingway's on Kent Island and
saw another Snowy Owl perched on one of the lane markers at the foot of the
eastbound span of the
Chesapeake Bay Bridge. From the vantage point at Hemmingway's I estimate
the owl was about a quarter of
a mile away
