A co-worker friend had seen the Wa Post story about the injured DC owl. She
asked me if the large white bird she had seen perched in a tree in her yard
might be the same owl. I told her that several Snowy Owls have been sighted in
the DC area - this could be one of them or perhaps a new arrival. If anyone on
the list lives near Annandale (I don't) and would like to check this out, the
general area is near the George Mason Regional Library on Little River Turnpike
(I'd be more specific, but I respect my friend's privacy).
