Whoops! Forgot to send this off yesterday, but beter late than never, I
guess.
Weather was very pleasant on the mountain, some clouds most of the time, but
wind was mostly out of the west and pretty light, and it was boring bird-wise
for
a good bit of the day. A couple of hours with no raptors at all! And they
were
really up/out there, making it difficult to see (a slight haze didn't help
much, either.
Osprey - 1
Bald Eagle -= 2; 1 adult, 1 3d year, together more or less
Northern Harrier - 1
Sharpshin - 4
Coopers - 2
Browadwing - 24
Redtail - 3
Unidentified - 6
TOTAL - 43

Ian Topolsky and Jen Folts. Hours covered: 8:30 - 3:00 EST.

Crows - 7 (max of 3 at a time; heard birds were all American)

White-eyed Vireo - 1
Yellow Warbler - 1
Hummers - 2 (one chasing a Goldfinch!)
Goldfinch - 10 (including 2 copulating; a bit late I should think!)
Monarchs - 3
