Birders,
As the interpreter at Mason Neck State Park, I'd like to second Bruce's
request. MN's visitor center has a wildlife sightings log, but very few
birders come in to add to it. Please stop by when you're here, or email me
once you get home. We depend on visitors in a large part to let us know
what's currently in the park-- I can't be out birding the park all day, much
as I would like to! :-)
My park email (to which you should send sightings and park related
questions) is mninterpreter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Happy birding,

Subject: [va-bird] Sky Meadows State Park Request
Date: Tue, 28 Feb 2006 22:16:37 EST
VA Birders,
We stopped briefly at Sky Meadows State Park, Fauquier Co., on Monday,
Feb. 27, on the way home from Highland Co. I got a RED-HEADED WOODPECKER for my
year list and also saw a NORTHERN HARRIER.
While there, I spoke with Bruce Baraniak, the Chief Ranger at Sky Meadows
State Park, and he indicated that he would very much appreciate receiving
trip lists from any of us who bird in the park. His e-mail address is:
bbaraniak@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I have forwarded our NVBC trip list from last Saturday to him.
Good birding,
