Hello, birders.
While birding the Meadow Trail today I heard a flock
of Canada Geese flying over. While counting these
birds (about 60) I saw a white phase Snow Goose mixed
in with them. These birds were flying fairly high,
heading roughly NE.
4 Green-winged Teal flew low, over my head. A few
minutes later, I saw 4 G.w. Teal, probably the same
birds, landing in one of the duck ponds near the above
trail. Waterfowl, except for Canada Geese, are
generally not common at the park so it was nice to see
2 unusual species there.
