Hello, birders.
Sorry for the late posting. At Sky Meadows on
Saturday I saw a Warbling Vireo on the entrance road
to the Bridal Trail parking lot. It was actively
feeding in the trees there. I also saw a flock of
swallows nearby above Rte. 17. Among the Barn
Swallows I saw a bird with a light rump, a Cliff
Swallow. I've never seen one in the park before.
The Meadow Trail had all the usual suspects. I heard
a Red-headed Woodpecker calling west of the
intersection of this trail with the Bridal Trail, a
place where they are not usually found. This species
seems to be spreading in the park during the last
couple of years. One was in the campground a couple
of weeks ago.
