On my commute home today, stopped at the flooded turf field approx 200 yds
east of Greenworks Garden Center on the westbound lane of Rt 50 just west
of South Riding.
A pair of mallards joined three killdeer, an un-ID yellowlegs and a
Wilson's snipe five feet from shore acting like a dowitcher, pumping its
head up and down in open, but shallow muddy water.
