I too found a ovenbird in downtown Norfolk yesterday. Window hit. Same building
a year ago I found a dead scarlet tanager.
For what it’s worth, I rub soap on my garage windows after I found a dead red
breasted grosbeak. For my other windows suction cups , small and large, with a
ribbon attached. It works.
I recently bought a stick on spider web. Birds know not to fly into webs, the
kind with a white ribbon down the center, Garden spiders. I think even a white
zigzags line in the window could work.

After a great morning birding along Holmes Run II (another msg) I came home
to find a dead Oven bird on the front porch (window collision?). I’ve never
seen one in the yard before. Does anyone know of an individual/organization
interested in specimens
