I was at National Airport from roughly 4:40-5:30 PM this evening (Friday)
along with a friendly gaggle of other birders. No Snowy Owls seen, alas.
I'm not sure when they were last seen at the airport since Monday when I
last was there. There was some speculation about the warmer weather today
and the unfortunate Snowy that was hit by a Metro bus in DC.
The White-winged Scoter was seen nearby in the river, along with a nice
duck show.
