Not quite Virginia, but close.
It was quite an active morning in Rock Creek Park
today with 10 warbler species.  I birded the upper
picnic area and the maintenance yard with Jason
Waanders.  We saw the following migrants:

nashville warbler (1)
magnolia warbler (8-10)
black-and-white warbler (2)
black-throated-blue warbler (4)
bay-breasted warbler (adult male)
chestnut-sided warbler (1)
American redstart (3)
Canada warbler (male in fine plumage, gorgeous bird)
ovenbird (1)
common yellowthroat (4)
red-eyed vireo (8-10)
warbling vireo (1)
white-eyed vireo (1)
scarlet tanager (5)
Baltimore oriole (2)
rose-breasted grosbeak (6)
Acadian flycatcher (1 - still calling)
veery (1)
Swainson's thrush (1)

Also reported by other birders in the area but
unfortunately not seen by us were:

black-throated-green warbler
Philadelphia vireo
yellow-bellied flycatcher

Cheers,

Philip Kline
