After a morning along the C& O Canal in Maryland and crossing at White's
Ferry my son and I made a quick trip to Limestone School Rd. near Lucketts,
provided good looks at a Vesper Sparrow near the windmill at the Equestrian
Center and a male White Crowned Sparrow near the first farm on Hibler Rd.
We visited Riverside Parkway about 2:30 PM and saw a male Bobolink as well
as a Savannah Sparrow near the parking lot. On the mud in the marsh we saw
a Greater Yellowlegs, about 5 Solitary Sandpipers, a few Semipalmated
Sandpipers, and 4 Least Sandpipers.
