Hello Everyone,
Just a quick note about Riverbend Park in Great Falls this morning. Numbers
and variety are up since all of the ponds and lakes in the area are still
frozen over. At that point along the river it is mostly open water.
Today hosted the best Common Goldeneye show I have seen this season, with 10,
comprised of 4 drakes and 6 females. Only one Redhead today, along with 5
Lesser Scaup and a displaying male Hooded Merganser at close range.
Finally, a single Brown Creeper scaled the bark of a sycamore. I think I see
the same bird each time I go there.
