This morning at Riverbend Park, on the Potomac River, in Fairfax County, I
found a female Common Goldeneye, a life bird for me. She was with a group of
15 Bufflehead. Also present were 35 Ring-necked Ducks, a Wood Duck, Mallards
and Canadas. One Winter Wren and lots of Carolinas.
In the meadow I found a Hermit Thrush, Towhees, Bluebirds, Cedar Waxwings,
Field, Swamp, Song and White-throated Sparrows.
Good birding!
