Today at about 1:00 p.m. there was an adult RH Woodpecker on a dead tree
very close to the informal trail that runs along Barnyard Run at Huntley
Meadows.
Then, at about 7:30 I saw my first Barn Swallow on a little leafless tree
just off the bike path overlooking Cameron Run.
Finally, at dusk (natch) there were a half dozen bats swarming around
Lake Cook, which is just across Eisenhaur Ave. from Cameron Run.
Spring is now officially here!
