TTuesday 3/8 (4:30 I walked from the Visitor's Center in River Bend
Park
(Great Falls, Va.) to the dam I had two thrilling moments. The first was
walking up to a flock of 15-20 male and female bluebirds, some landing
only 8-10 feet away from me. I have never seen so many in such close
proximity. The second thrill was seeing a red throated loon diving a few
times only 30 feet from shore near 3 pairs of buffleheads. The red
throated loon is a new addition to my life list. Happy birding!
